Meet the guys… left to right…
Brian Wray (lead guitar, mandolin and vocals). Brian's love for music started as a kid, listening to The Beatles, Chicago (the early albums), and Led Zeppelin, as well as many others. He played the trumpet in middle school and high school, and it was during this time he also started playing acoustic guitar. His desire to play mandolin comes from his love for Heart and Led Zeppelin.
Rick Graf (dobro banjo, banjo and backing vocals). Rick picked up the banjo as an adult – and promptly set it back down because banjos are very heavy. Influenced by ‘70s rock, ‘80s new wave and traditional bluegrass, Rick likes finding ways to make the 5-string work in the spectrum of rock, pop and country original and cover songs that Sciatica Beach is known for.
Brian Johnson (lead vocals, guitar and harmonica). Brian is a retired Air Force Colonel with 26 years of active duty service. An avid supporter of the creative arts, retirement has allowed him to pursue his love for music and performing as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor. In addition to playing group and solo gigs, Brian has been in several plays and musicals in North Florida and currently serves as president of the board for the All Beaches Experimental Theatre.
